The Art of Health

This blog post is dedicated to the art of health according to the Tao, as a tribute to the teachings of Master Mantak Chia

On Saturday 12 September, for the first time, I invited you to experience the Guo Lin Chi Kung Tao walk. It was a joy for everyone, immediately restoring and a sure way to take care of ourselves every day… It was so popular that I will offer it again in June! (This was not passed on to me by Mantak Chia) ! Master Mantak Chia’s last visit to Europe

After this trip, he will stop travelling abroad. We will then be able to meet him in person in Thailand at the TAO GARDEN (where I qualified as a Tao instructor!). He will be in London from 27 September to 1 October 2026, where I will also be. (It will be possible to see him one last time « in person » on that occasion – you can also attend live online on Zoom, exceptionally with French interpretation. A replay will be provided.)

The Taoist master Mantak Chia is mainly referenced and ranked internationally in the annual study of the British magazine Watkins Mind Body Spirit Magazine. [1] This worldwide ranking, known around the world as « Watkins 100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People » (the 100 most spiritually influential living people in the world), assesses the impact of spiritual leaders, authors and players in holistic health and well-being. [1]

Mantak Chia’s place in this rankingMantak Chia entered this top 100 and has stayed there thanks to his pioneering role in making Qi Gong and internal alchemy accessible in the West.

  • He was ranked 23rd.
  • He then rose to 18th place among the most influential spiritual leaders in the world.

Why is he included in this worldwide study? The Watkins study is based on three strict criteria to measure the worldwide impact of a personality: the person must be alive, have made a spiritual or well-being contribution on a global scale, and be frequently searched for or read around the world. Mantak Chia’s profile ticks all the boxes:

  • Creator of a worldwide system: He is the founder of the Universal Healing Tao System, taught to tens of thousands of students by thousands of certified instructors on every continent.
  • Best-selling author: He has written more than 50 books (including the famous best-sellers The Multi-Orgasmic Man and The Multi-Orgasmic Woman), translated into many languages, combining Western anatomy with Eastern energy secrets.
  • Recognised by his peers: Beyond the Watkins ranking, he is the only person to have twice received the award of « Qi Gong Master of the Year » from the International Congress of Chinese Medicine.

You can follow his current teachings and worldwide programmes directly on the official website of his Thai centre, the Tao Garden Health Spa & Resort. To conclude, a few lines on the importance of this kind of practice in daily life. Loving without waiting to be loved, but also working without waiting to be recognised and rewarded: this is what we are invited to achieve. We have already understood that there is no worse obstacle than this expectation of being appreciated for our work. We wait, we wait… and this waiting paralyses us, we lose our drive. Yet human beings can only blossom through activity, that of the physical body but above all that of the heart, the intellect, the soul and the spirit. While waiting for recognition in whatever form, do you not feel that you are limiting yourself, that you are growing darker? Let us act only because we feel it is useful and good, that is all. Let us expect nothing in return, and we will live in freedom and light, with more clarity. It is by starting to take care of the infinitely small that we can reach the infinitely great! Small things are in great ones and great things in small ones…

See the Universal Principle of Correspondence that we studied in the more advanced classes and workshops of THE METAMORPHIC TECHNIQUE. …And according to Hermes Trismegistus’ famous maxim: « That which is below is like that which is above, and that which is above is like that which is below » (The Emerald Tablet).

And what is this infinitely small? THE CELL. Our body is made of a multitude of cells, and each of them is a living entity, a small soul with its own individuality. That is why, instead of searching for the immensity in which we would lose ourselves, let us focus on this people living within us. Among all the exercises we can do, one of the most beneficial is to focus on our cells every day. « Think of how to purify them, strengthen them, illuminate them, and we will feel that we are beginning to touch the Essence (the essential!), which is itself purity, strength and light » OMA The Tao practices  (the healing sounds, the inner smile, the microcosmic orbit, the fusion… are just a few examples)

, and the shamanic teachings I received are treasures I have been offering you for many years. (See classes and workshops.) In the same spirit, this year we will add this drive to our

calligraphy practice through a small « Japanese-inspired » touch  (see monthly classes and others)
