Watercolour drawing made this summer.
Based on the models living here, in the pond.
At first there were 3, then came the « and a half » which swept away my « hook », which I had clung to since hearing that Leonardo (da Vinci!) had named his inn that way! Had I found signs, inspiration, support there?
They had arrived all by themselves… In traditional Feng Shui and shamanic customs, it is said that if a space is created respecting the laws of nature, the kingdoms (mineral, plant, animal, human and divine) come to it in harmony without needing an invitation. (Especially the mineral one! Hehe)
Of course: it was destiny!
And we always need a bit of Leonardo, don’t we? (When we paint and create)

This year, while keeping a close eye out for the eggs to come (which I never saw!), I sincerely wished that my new neighbours in the house next door (angels disguised as humans!) would stay, and that the 4 amphibians (the teenage frog had grown up) would not serenade too much and would give them the impression of an irresistible poetic ode to soften their move and our hearts.
In fact, they seem to be « toad-frogs ». One of them even has the top of one kind and the bottom of the other. Trendy, isn’t it?
So creative and prolific that on the stone tortoise of the reed-bed pond I saw 4 tiny, cheerful, fearless frogs two steps away from me!
So there are 8 of them! And since it is the number of the unconditional (and above all, they are irresistible), by common neighbourly agreement, the decision will be postponed until next year.
Here are three inspiring symbolic meanings of frogs and a thought from a master to meditate on
Croak!
